Oliver Wagg is a writer and editor with over 25 years’ experience across a wide range of publications and topics. A former financial journalist, Oliver now focuses on supporting organisations craft their sustainability messaging, from writing sustainability reports to advising on multichannel content strategy.
On finishing his MA in Economics at the University of Kent at Canterbury, Oliver worked for the Financial Times and Agence France-Presse before leading editorial at two leading online financial news start-ups in the early 2000s. Oliver was Europe Editor at the first newswire covering the environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects of international business—Global Ethics Monitor—before editing two magazines dedicated to covering sustainable business and finance in the UK and Australia. After several years managing communications for the United Nations Capital Development Fund’s CleanStart program in South East Asia, Oliver returned to the UK in 2015 to head up communications for Asset Owners Disclosure Project, an independent body pushing for climate risk disclosure among the world’s largest investors. He is now focused on a portfolio of work for purpose-led organisations in the environmental and international development fields.
